Abstract

The author analyzes the particular features of the novel «The Courilof Affaire» (1933) created by Irene Nemirovsky, a French writer who was a representative of Russian emigration. The reasons to choose the subject of revolutionary terrorist movement in Russia are uncovered in the article. There is a mentioning that Nemirovsky portrayed typical representatives of prerevolutionary Russian society and the realities of the time using the techniques of the European literary tradition.
