The paper discusses the role of translation/interpreting in intercultural political communication and highlights some problem areas in the existing practice of political texts translation. The author outlines the problems which require further theoretical analysis from interdisciplinary perspective involving political linguistics, discourse, translation studies and inter-cultural communication.

Рассматривается роль перевода в области межкультурной политической коммуникации, выявляются некоторые проблемные области, касающиеся сложившейся практики перевода политических текстов. Обосновывается, что многие вопросы должны рассматриваться на стыке политической лингвистики, теории дискурса, переводоведения и межкультурной коммуникации.
