Abstract

The article deals with the practical aspects of calculating the expected environmental and economic damage to land resources when opencast mining the sand and gravel mix from the Irkut deposit in the Irkutsk region. It is proposed to use the index of specific damage per unit of the mined mineral to compare the environmental damage caused by the operation of the opencast mines of different performance and mining periods.
