Abstract

The communicative modus of oppositional political discourse is analyzed in the article in the light of connotation semantics in its diverse linguistic expression. The strict parameterization on the basis of 'own -strange', 'we they' determines the language specificity of a political opposition revealed in we-statements, peculiarities of political lexicography, euphemisms, reflexives, tropes, political aphoristic etc.
