Abstract

Geographical factors of the long-term development of the Arctic territories of Russia are considered. They are economic and geographical position, territorial combinations of natural resources and economic kinds of activity by certain territories of the Arctic zone. Estimation of geopolitical position of the Arctic zone of Russia with the adjacent countries entering the Arctic zone and having geopolitical interests to this zone is given. Priority directions of the kinds of activity are defined in a long-term prospect taking into account a set of geographical and geopolitical factors of the development.
