Старообрядцы и предпринимательская культура в царской России

Abstract

Для Европы характерна связь между религиозными меньшинствами и предпринимательской деятельностью. Хорошо известна роль нонконформистов в Англии, гугенотов во Франции и евреев по всей Европе. Неизменное присутствие религиозных диссидентов-старообрядцев среди первых российских предпринимателей естественным образом подталкивало историков к мысли рассматривать их как российский аналог веберовских предпринимателей-кальвинистов. В данном очерке <sup>2</sup> исследуется парадоксальная роль, которую старообрядчество сыграло в появлении и развитии частного предпринимательства в России.
