Abstract

Based on the analysis of a wide range of archival sources from central and regional archives foundations in Russia and Finland, the article focuses on the settlement process and socio-economic development of the former Finnish territories moved to the USSR from Finland as a result of the SovietFinnish (Winter) War in 1939-1940. Th e article analyzes the settlement process in new regions of the Karelian-Finnish SSR (the Karelian Isthmus, Northern and Western Priladozhje) in the period aft er the end of the Winter War till the beginning of the Great Patriotic War (March 1940 June 1941). Th e struggle between the authorities of the Leningrad region and the Karelian SSR on the question of Finnish territories development is shown with contradictions appeared between central and republican economic bodies in the process of socio-economic revival of former Finnish territories being revealed.

На основе анализа широкого круга архивных источников из фондов центральных и региональных архивов России и Финляндии исследуется процесс заселения и социально-экономического освоения бывших финских территорий, отошедших к СССР от Финляндии в результате советско-финляндской (Зимней) войны 1939-1940 гг. Проанализирован процесс заселения новых районов Карело-Финской ССР (Карельского перешейка, Северного и Западного Приладожья) в период после окончания Зимней войны и до начала Великой Отечественной войны (март 1940 г. июнь 1941 г.). Показывается борьба между руководством Ленинградской области и Карельской АССР по вопросу присоединения финских территорий, раскрываются противоречия, возникшие между центральными и республиканскими хозяйственными органами в ходе социально-экономического возрождения этого региона.
