The article focuses on the historical calendars in the Russian empire, which reflected the approach favored by the sate on how to represent the national history. It also highlights their role in shaping the mass social historical consciousness. In addition, it briefly reviews the history of Russian historical calendar, gives a description of different types of this historical-cultural phenomenon, and analyzes the content of calendars. Psychological analysis of the specific character of the historical calendar composition enables to identify the impact of this phenomenon on the minds of people and their views regarding the development of fundamental processes in the Russian social life.

Статья посвящена вопросам функционирования исторических календарей в Российской империи, отражающих государственный подход в представлении отечественной истории, а также их роли в формировании массового исторического сознания. Автор кратко рассматривает историю возникновения русского исторического календаря, дает характеристику данного историко-культурного явления и проводит анализ содержания календарей. Психологический анализ специфики построения исторического календаря позволяет обозначить степень воздействия рассматриваемого явления на сознание людей и их взгляды на развитие фундаментальных процессов в жизни российского общества.
