Abstract

The article analyses the content of the constitutional principle of the equality of rights of Russian citizens in the passive suffrage. The definition of the principle of equal passive suffrage is given. The bases on which discrimination of electoral rights isn't admissible are considered. The effectiveness of the electoral legislation in this sphere is assessed.

В статье исследуется содержание конституционного принципа равенства прав граждан России в пассивном избирательном праве. Дано определение принципу равного пассивного избирательного права. Рассмотрены основания, по которым недопустима дискриминация избирательных прав. Дается оценка эффективности избирательного законодательства в данной сфере.
