Abstract

The article dwells upon the history of the transition of Zlatoust plants from private possession to state possession in the late XVIII century. The tangled history of Zlatoust plants sale is reconstructed on the basis of new sources. First, the plants were sold to A. A. Knauf and then resold by the bank. In the end, the company was given to the merchant A. A. Knauf for a perpetual lease.
