In the article the questions of the necessity of increasing the variety and improving the quality of goods in the USSR in the 1950s and 1960s were considered on the basis of archival sources. The problems with the implementation of food and industrial goods in the Soviet trade are identified. The activity of State trade inspection of the RSFSR and the Bryansk region in the struggle for the quality of goods sold is analyzed.
В статье на основании архивных источников рассмотрены вопросы о необходимости увеличения разнообразия и повышения качества товаров в СССР. Выделены проблемы в советской торговле с реализацией продовольственных и промышленных товаров. Проанализирована деятельность Госторгинспекции РСФСР и Брянской области в борьбе за качество продаваемых товаров.
