Abstract

The paper considers the use of radiation method of nondestructive testing digital radiography by the example of a hot pressing plate of a hydraulic press for producing composite wood-based materials. The factors affecting the main stage of plywood production bonding, such as temperature and pressure of a pressing plate are considered in the paper. The authors focus on determining the reasons of nonuniform heat distribution over the plate surface. In the course of operation the possibility of using the radiation monitoring method is reviewed. The paper describes the benefits of a digital matrix system DXR250V. The authors give the generalized characteristic of X-ray unit RAP 220-5 made by Nondestructive Testing Institute and demonstrate its main properties. The paper considers as well the control scheme of the object and introduces practical results of the control over the hydraulic press plate.
