The article analyzes the major trends of for mation of musical space of artistic life in the Stavropol region in line of the formation and development of the cultural construction in the USSR. The main attention is paid to understanding the socio-cultural determinants that have shaped the process and improve the understanding of musical art as an in tegral part of the structure of cultural genesis of the region.

В статье дан анализ основных тенденций, формирования музыкального пространства художественной жизни региона Ставрополья в русле становления и развития культурного строительства в СССР.
