Abstract

«СРАР» – continuous positive airway pressure).

The description of clinical observation of violations of heart rhythm and conductivity associated with the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) is provided. OSAS is a condition characterized by snore, recurrent fall of the upper respiratory ways at the level of a throat and termination of pulmonary ventilation at remaining respiratory efforts, decrease in level of saturation of hemoglobin of blood by oxygen, rough sleep fragmentation and excessive day drowsiness. The diagnosis of OSAS is clinical; however, confirmation of the diagnosis requires a polysomnographic research. The up-to-date method of OSAS treatment is continuous positive airway pressure therapy ("CPAP" therapy).
