Abstract

The article presents new geochemical data on weathering crusts of the Svetloborsky and the Nizhnetagilsky massifs of the Platinum belt of the Urals and analyzes distribution of platinum group elements, gold and silver in different zones of weathering profile, determined by the ICP-MS. It was revealed that iridium-platinum geochemical specialization of initial rocks of the massifs changes to palladium-platinum in covering eluvial soils with a tendency to accumulate platinum in the upper parts of the crossection that indicates redistribution of precious metals through the weathering profile.
