Abstract

The article deals with a close link between temple construction and construction of schools in organizational and procedural matters like general financing, technical and architectural traditions and specific features. In the article the term Altai means the territory of Altai Mountain District which included modern territories of Altai Krai and Gorny Altai (completely); south-western part of the Re-public of Khakassia; major part of Kemerovo Region, southern and eastern parts of Novosibirsk Re-gion, southern part of Tomsk Region and north-eastern areas of Kazakhstan in the considered period. The selected time period is characterized by the greatest volume of temple and school construction connected with mass resettlements and active exploration of Southern Siberia.
