Abstract

The paper is devoted to review of constructing variants of power supply schemes for the problem of optimization of operating modes of distribution grids taking into account current trends of their development. This problem can be divided into several tasks, which include topology control with taking into account various network configurations, issues of equipping networks with modern measuring devices, the possibility of grids optimization. One of the main problems is to provide topological observability of the grid. Current topology control will increase the speed of decision-making, exclude the wrong actions of operating staff and provide correct operating of systems of collecting and transmitting data. The paper provides an overview of existing and advanced topologies in order to obtain knowledge about the possible configurations of distribution grids and the subsequent development of algorithms to control them. In addition, the authors provide a brief description of the current information richness of grids. The conclusions about the usage of closed grid structure as the basis to the construction of next-generation grids have been made on the basis of topologies review and analysis of information richness of distribution grids. The possibility of increasing controllability of distribution grids is achieved through their technical upgrading.
