In the article the issues of cargo transportation efficiency have been discussed. The aim of the study is to substantiate the factors affecting efficiency of the process by defining the cargo transportation process as a system. Determination and evaluation of the cargo transportation efficiency is an important issue for the process control, but it remains open due to lack of the informed opinion on the constituent factors of the process efficiency. In the article the problem of the process control was specified, management goals of the cargo transportation process were set, the criteria of differentiation of the external environment and the system were determined that allows to substantiate the constituent elements of the control object. In addition, the character of relationship between the cargo transportation process and external environment was revealed, the system specific features as well as information support of links between the cargo transportation process and external environment were determined. On the basis of the results obtained the system of factors affecting the efficiency of cargo transportation was substantiated. The results will allow managers consciously affect the cargo transportation efficiency.

У статті обговорюються питання ефективності процесу перевезень вантажів. Метою дослідження є обґрунтування факторів ефективності цього процесу за допомогою визначення процесу перевезення вантажів як системи. Визначення та оцінка ефективності перевезень вантажів є важливим питанням для управління цим процесом, але це питання залишається відкритим через відсутність обґрунтованої думки щодо складу факторів ефективності вказаного процесу. У статті сформовано проблему управління, поставлено цілі управління процесом перевезення вантажів, визначені критерії розмежування зовнішнього середовища та системи, що дозволило обґрунтувати склад елементів системи об’єкта управління. Крім того, було визначено характер взаємовідносин процесу перевезення вантажів та зовнішнього середовища, встановлено особливості системи та визначено інформаційне забезпечення зв’язків між процесом перевезення вантажів та зовнішнім середовищем. На підставі отриманих результатів обґрунтовано систему факторів ефективності перевезення вантажів. Отримані результати дозволять менеджеру свідомо впливати на ефективність перевезення вантажів.
