
This article is devoted to identifying the main ethno-psychological characteristics and the system of values of the Manden people (Bamana and Maninka) based on the analysis of the fable and epic tradition. The collectivist orientation of the Manden culture, reflected in the epic as well as in fairy tales, determines the importance of glory in human life and behavioral constants that are based on mutual support and mutual activities. Some cultural institutions, in particular the oral tradition, give high priority to tolerance, reluctance to change the major principles and foundations, as well as external locus of control.
Настоящая статья посвящена определению основных этнопсихологических характеристик и системы ценностей народов манден (бамана и манинка) на основе анализа сказочной и эпической традиций. Коллективистская направленность культуры манден, отраженная как в эпосе, так и в сказке, определяет высокую значимость славы в жизни человека, поведенческие константы, базирующиеся на поддержке и взаимности действий. Некоторые институты культуры, в частности устная традиция, определяют роль толерантности, нежелание менять устои, а также внешний локус-контроль.
