Abstract

The extensive empirical material obtained during winter routing accounts is used for spatial interpolation in mapping the distribution of grouse. Map informativeness is evaluated by comparing the map, based on the training sample, with the map, based on a control sample. The most informative map was constructed using interpolation method «Natural Neighbour». Reducing a training data sample does not change the level of informativeness regardless of the interpolation method.
