
Article is dedicated to the analysis of the theoretical views of Soviet military management before and in the period of the Great Patriotic War. The estimation problem of the space and time factors in the Soviet military strategy is discussed. The influence of this estimation, interrelation of policy and strategy, and influence of the personality of military leader on the sums of military operations and war as a whole is examined.

Затрагивается проблема оценки факторов пространства и времени в советской военной стратегии первой половины ХХ в. и влияния этой оценки, взаимосвязи политики и стратегии, а также фактора личности полководца на итоги военных операций и войны в целом.
