Tanacetum vulgare flores

Abstract

Currently a great interest is imposed to antioxidant activity studies. This fact is related to the discovery of a number of positive properties including widely distributed plants of average climatic bands, such as fruits of chokeberry Aronia and flowers of tansy. In the group of the conducted in vitro experiments quantitatively flavonoid content was measured in terms of catechins and antioxidant activity (AOA) of infusions prepared at different concentrations of ethanol (30%, 50%, 70%, 90%) of Aronia melanocarpa fruits and from Tanacetum vulgare flowers was assessed. Recommendation on potential application of the fruits and flowers in medicine and pharmacy are given in the article.
