Abstract

The article presents the results of the cloning of β-lactamase gene in pETcocoCm plasmid possessing the ability to change its copy number depending on the nutrient medium composition. The level of resistance to ampicillin has been defined depending on a carbohydrate substratum in recombinant E. coli DH5α pETcocoCmAmp strain. Correlation has also been revealed between the level of ampicillin resistance, amount of β-lactamase and pETcocoCmAmp plasmid copy number depending on a carbohydrate substratum in recombinant E. coli DH5α strain
