
This article is devoted to the comparative analysis of the Bashkir Past indefinite and English Present Perfect tenses. The topicality of the problem lies in the fact that the tenses being one of the key problems in philosophy of language, demands further investigation in the contrastive aspect both in theoretical and in the practical purposes. No adequate consideration has been given to the past tenses in English and Bashkir languages. The object of the given work is the problem of contrastive study of Past tenses. The purpose of the work is to reveal the divergences and similarities of the two languages. And the following material shows that by means of native language there is better comprehension of foreign language.
