Abstract

The current role of the Latin language in medicine is analyzed in the article. The main language of the Catholic religion, Latin has been used in medicine to form anatomical, clinical and pharmaceutical terms. The role of Latin has shown to be extremely significant in the formation of West-European languages and enrichment of Russian with borrowed words and phrases.
