Wladimir Putin. Wohin steuert er Russland?»)

Abstract

The article deals with such ways to manipulate public opinion in creating the image of a modern Russian politician as drawing historical parallels and the usage of proper names. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the dominant metaphor der Zar, used by the author Boris Reitschuster to convince the reader in his evaluation of the Russian president Vladimir Putin as an authoritarian politician prior to the 2004 presidential elections.
