Abstract

The reasons and consequences of intervention of Englishmen in internal political fight in Russia are established in the article on the basis of archival sources, memoirs of contemporaries and periodicals materials. Evolution of the British position concerning the candidate to the place of the military dictator is also shown in this article.

В статье на основании архивных источников, мемуаров современников и материалов периодической печати выявляются причины и последствия вмешательства англичан во внутриполитическую борьбу в России. Показана эволюция британской позиции в отношении кандидатуры на место военного диктатора.
