Abstract

The following article deals with the work of Swiss author Hugo Loetscher, whose books are written in German. The main goal of the article is finding out, how a person takes her or his individuality as being a part of society in the publicictic and literary work of H. Loetscher. It is concluded, that the relationship «individuality society» is shown as difficult and painful for a person, what can also be called one of the mainstreams in Swiss literature and journalism in the period of 1960 1980. The perception of own personality is illustrated by H. Loetscher as chaotic and broken. The author sees as rescue for a person the care of others.
