Article is devoted to emergence and formation of system of the tourist periodical press and magazines of travel. The multifactorial interrelation of this process with progress of development of world tourism and society in general comes to light. The analysis of stages which there passed the journal periodical press of travel in Russia from the moment of emergence and up to 1917 is carried out.

Статья посвящена возникновению и формированию системы туристической периодики и журналов путешествий. Выявляется мультифакторная взаимосвязь этого процесса с прогрессом развития мирового туризма и общества в целом. Проводится анализ стадий, которые прошла журнальная периодика путешествий в России от момента возникновения и вплоть до 1917 г.
