Abstract

The paper presents the experience of surgery of 111 eyes in 83 patients with complicated uveal cataract. The method, elaborated by the authors, consists in synechiotomy, phacoemulsification of cataract, posterior capsulorhexis, partial vitrectomy in the proximal sectors of vitreal cavity and IOL implantation in the capsular bag, behind the posterior capsulorhexis. In all cases the stable anatomic results were achieved, the visual functions were reliably improved without any intraoperational complications.
