Abstract

The article presents the improved method for preoperative planning of distal osteotomy of the first metatarsal bone in the treatment of valgus deformity of the great toe. The basis for improvements is the mathematical calculation of the parameters of operation using X-ray anatomy data. The findings increase the effectiveness of the treatment due to the operation in accordance with the requirements of the restoration of biomechanics of the foot and the individual anatomical and physiological characteristics.
