Abstract

The article dwells upon the syntax of compound sentences with adverbial clauses of time in V. Nabokov's works. Special attention is paid to the specific features of syncretic subordinate clauses expressing attributive temporal connections and to the meaning of the given constructions in the novel. Conclusions which are made in the work are based on the body of examples selected by means of complete excerption from the novel by V. Nabokov.
