Abstract

Steel slag used in construction for quite some time, while in the first place put the physical and mechanical properties of the resulting products, environmental issues, the use of these products is neglected. To understand the environmental component shows a comparison of physico-mechanical and chemical properties of crushed stone and slag of different origin. The article presents data on the migration of heavy metals from construction materials in the modeling environment. As a model of media selected distilled water and acetate buffer. To study the selected metals: vanadium, manganese, titanium, and iron. It is established that the curves of migration of heavy metals have a pronounced extreme character. The most active migration occurs in an acidic environment. Studies suggest about the environmental risk of slag in the construction industry.
