Abstract

In connection with the 70th anniversary of the discovery of electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), we present a historical review of the scientific conferences on Resonant Properties of Condensed Matter held in Kazan from 1955 to 2011. The evolution of the topics of these conferences shows the development of magnetic radio-frequency spectroscopy, its application and related phenomena both in Kazan and worldwide. We demonstrate the chronological and geographical aspects of distribution of this research field. The paper is introduced by a short review of the first conferences on radio-frequency spectroscopy in the world.
