Abstract

The world experience of increasing the competitiveness of tourist products is based on developing effective models of forecasting and regulating tourist streams. The scientific apprehension of the economic role which tourism plays in the complex social and economic development of the region is falling behind its practical implementation. First of all it is connected with the fact that the analysis of tourist streams entails considerable organizational and recording difficulties. Studying Chinese experience of developing tourist packages is of major importance for Primorsky territory since the inbound tourist stream in China surpasses by far the outbound tourist stream from Primorsky territory to all countries put together. The paper presents the results of studying the cycle of tourist trips, evidence from tourist trips to China. The study of the cycle of tourist trips is accomplished on the basis of the specially developed questionnaire. The principle of the technique lies in processing the open questions of the questionnaire. The research has shown that the trip geography of Russian tourists to China has been growing rapidly in recent years; in course of time the structure of consuming and evaluating the quality of tourist services is changing.
