Abstract

The formation of double layers and destruction of water drops in castor oil in a uniform electric field was investigated. It is shown that there are at least four mechanisms for the destruction of the drop as a function of the applied electric field and the size of the drop. The modeling of process was made. The results obtained can be used to develop electrohydronamic emulsifier.
