Abstract

The method of intradetrusal injections of type A botulism toxin was used to treat 26 children with neurogenic dysfunction of lower urinary tract with concomitant intravesical hypertension and myelodisplasia. Criteria for positive outcome of the treatment were changes in the clinical picture of the diseases. It was achieved in all 26 patients. It is concluded that the use of botulism toxin A in urology ensures high efficacy of the treatment and extends possibilities of therapy of lower urinary tract dysfunction in children presenting with myelodysplasia.
