Abstract

The article analyzes the consumption behaviour of contemporary Russians. The general features of the phenomenon (ostentation, image of consumption, rational and irrational types) the author supplements with levels of maturity of the personal culture of consumption behavior. The assessment criteria are the levels of knowledge, abilities and skills of a consumer, which allow distinguishing features of high, middle, and low levels of consumption behaviour culture.
