Abstract

Tourniquet application is a known means for bleeding prevention in the military prehospital setting. A well designed tourniquet could possible have prevented these deaths. Corpsmen of Military Medical Institute established important characteristics necessary in an ideal tourniquet. This study was analysis of silicone and well designed tourniquet application and following ischemia. Conclusionue: Design tourniquet application is an effective and easili applied method for hemorrhage control and following ischemia.
