This article describes the Portuguese particle mesmo. The article deals with the syntactic mesmo position in the utterance, the role of particles in the theme-rematicheskom division of the sentence, its characteristics in terms of accent allocation, the scope of the particles, etc. This analysis is carried out in relation to the particle adverb synonymous realmente. To determine the value of mesmo is realized an analysis of the propositional content of utterances containing mesmo, with the propositional content of the preceding remarks, the so-called "shadow" of the utterance. The analysis is to describe the scope of modal expressions, posed by particle mesmo.

Данная статья посвящена описанию португальской частицы mesmo. В ней рассматривается синтаксическая позиция mesmo в высказывании, роль частицы в тема-рематическом членении предложения, ее характеристика с точки зрения акцентного выделения, сфера действия частицы и т. п. Этот анализ проводится в сопоставлении с синонимичным частице наречием realmente. Для определения значения mesmo проводится также анализ пропозиционального содержания высказывания, содержащего mesmo, с пропозициональным содержанием предшествующего высказывания, так называемого «теневого» высказывания. Итогом анализа является описание модальной рамки высказывания, создаваемой частицей mesmo.
