Abstract

The author allocates the main factors of post-crisis development of the Roman economy. The reforms which were carried out by Diocletian and Konstantin are interpreted as attempts of overcoming of difficulties which the empire faced in the 3 rd the first quarter of the 4 th century. The comparison of sources data led to conclusion that the reforms of the first emperors of the dominate period took place in the harsh conditions, but allowed to create a financial basis of Roman state which entered a new stage of its development.
