Abstract

Th e original way of studying the diff erentiation of visual objects on depth in behavioural experiment on fi shes has allowed to show, that one of the conditions of formation of visually-spatial sensations at the early stages of phylogenesis is the coordination of dynamics of visually stimulating process in tectum with proprioreceptive signaling from extraocular muscles. Th e data obtained confi rms the hypothesis that the principle of visually-proprioreceptive interaction has universal character among vertebrate animals.
