Abstract

In article structural-semantic features of compound sentences in proverbs and sayings of the Kumyk language are investigated. In the paremias issued on models of a compound sentence all types of compound sentences which aren´t existing in the Kumyk literary language are used. The most widespread type of compound sentences in proverbs and sayings are offers with copulatives. The total of the coordinative conjunctions used by proverbs and sayings is less, than in usual art texts of the literary language. Some unions, possessing ability to express the semantic relations between parts of proverbs and sayings, didn´t rise to the level of an active component of syntax of proverbs and sayings of the Kumyk language. In the structural organization of compound sentences plays also a sequence of predicative parts which is defined by the semantic relations between components of a compound sentence. Openness or closeness of structure is defined by the semantic relations between predicative parts of a compound sentence.
