Рассказчик как герой собственного повествования, или автобиографическое начало в новеллистике И. Б. Зингера

Abstract

В статье анализируются новеллы И. Б. Зингера с повествованием от первого лица с точки зрения присутствия в них автобиографического начала. Рассматриваются новеллы о трех периодах жизни героя-рассказчика: варшавское детство, первые годы в Америке, время признания его литературного таланта. Из новеллы в новеллу создается многогранный образ героя-рассказчика, которого нельзя отождествлять с реальным писателем И. Б. Зингером.
