Abstract

The article represents a new approach to describe peculiarity of national mentality. The most universal archetypes of the world mythology, common for all civilizations, can be recognized as semantic cores of cultures (local civilizations) and their values. Such an approach seems to be productive for researches in intercultural understanding and for representation of multiperspectivity of world development and of different parts of every nation in it. The approach is displayed by the example of national mentality of different countries, including India, China, Japan, USA and Russia.
