Эквиваленты послелога лакского языка лув «Внизу» в английском языке

Abstract

(The Picture of Dorian Gray) и рассказов лакского писателя Хизри Ильясова «По тропам лакии» («Лакку улклул ххуллурдай»).

The article presents lexicographical portrait of the lexeme of spatial semantics in Lak luv «under», «underneath». Further its semantic and functional English equivalents are elicited. The analysis of the units under study was carried out in accordance with new ideas of lexicographical description of the words, in the first instance with the idea of lexicographical portraiture of the words by academician Apresyan U.D. As a result of the research, it was established that the postposition under analysis in Lak and the corresponding prepositions in English have the independent lexical meaning. Unlike postpositions in Lak, English prepositions don’t assume formative affixes. That’s why in English the same prepositional constructions in combination with different verbs get different semantic shades. In combination with verbs of movement they get semantic of orientation, and in combination with stative verbs they get semantic of localization. The research is carried out on the language material of the novel written by Oscar Wild «The Picture of Dorian Gray» and the stories of Lak writer Khizri Ilyasov «On the Paths of Lakiya».
