Abstract

In the present work, it has been discovered that intensity of crystalloluminescence arising upon the precipitation of terbium nitrate crystals after the addition of oversaturated Tb(NO 3) 3·5H 2O acetone solution with cumyl hydroperoxide or adamantantyliden adamantane-1,2-dioxetane to chloroform enlarges at the ultrasonification. Crystals of terbium nitrate generating via crystallization upon the ultrasonic treatment catalyzes chemiluminescent decomposition of the mentioned organic peroxides, being simultaneously emitters of the glow. Mechanisms of the this specific phenomena are provided.
