Abstract

Статья посвящена исследованию этимологически восточной лексики, использованной в романе «Герой нашего времени» М.Ю. Лермонтова. Материалом послужил двухтомный «Словарь языка Лермонтова». Автор описы-вает пять основных лексико-тематических групп экзотической лексики (с дополнительным делением на подгруппы). Этнолингвистический анализ романа М.Ю. Лермонтова свидетельствует о точной и правильной передаче сведений о кавказских горцах читателю.

The article investigates the etymology of eastern lexis used in the M. Lermontov’s novel "Hero of Our Time". The two-volume "Dictionary of Lermontov's language" served as the material. The author describes the five major lexical-thematic groups of exotic lexis (with a further division into subgroups). Ethnolinguistic analysis of Lermontov’s novel shows to a reader accurate and proper transfer of information about the Caucasian Highlanders
