Abstract

In article the image of the athlete Chanikol from the heroic legend «Dulin Buga Torgandunin — Torgandun of the Average Earth» which is written down from the famous Evenki storyteller Nikolay Germogenovich Trofimov is considered. The author makes an attempt of the analysis of an image of the hero, motives of epic work for the purpose of definition of possible ethnic characteristics of the character. The author assumes that ethnocultural interrelations of the Tungus and Mongolian people find reflection in the considered image of the Evenki athlete Chanikol. These interrelations are shown in motive of the birth of this hero with a copper teapot in hands (the motive of the birth with any sign is characteristic for the tyurko-Mongolian people), in etymology of a name of the athlete Chanikol where the author connects with a drevnemongolsky tribe chanit/changit. The author comes to a conclusion that the image of the athlete Chanikol possesses certain characteristics of an inoetnichnost.
