Abstract

The paper deals with transformation of youth subcultures under the influence of information technologies and postmodernist society. The authors prove practicability of post-subcultural approach to analysis of youth subcultures. Cyberpunk and flash mob are viewed as post-subcultural movements. The paper presents the results of research of flash mobs in big cities of Russia as exemplified by Kazan. The authors come to the conclusion about synergetic binary character of youth post-subculture flash mob as an opposition to the process of virtualization of youth's life style in postmodernist and information-oriented society.
